Selecting Colors

At components various properties contain color values, which e.g. define the text color or the background color.

For assigning a color to a property, the desired component property, for example the Foreground property, can be chosen from the Property dialog. Afterwards two buttons appear (s.Fig. 184).

Selecting Colors from the Color Management

The left button opens the combo box to assign a color from the .color file (s. Fig 3).

By selecting the desired color, the color will be set to the named color.

Choosing a Color Directly

The right button allows to assign a color directly without using the eva/3 Application Builder color management. The System colors dialog appears and provides several pages for selecting the desired color.

Swatches

The page Swatches allows the selection of predefined colors.

HSB

An exact determination of the color can take place via the HSB color selection. The color is determined by clicking on the color field. The color bar right beside the color field determines the color of the color field. The definition of the color can take place also via input of the HSB value into the supposed input fields H, S and B (s. fig. 187 ).

RGB

The register RGB allows the color selection by one sliding control for the red, green and blue values of the color. The definition of the color can also take playe by entering of the RGB value into desired the input fields R, G and B (s. fig. 107 ).

By clicking the button OK the selection will be confirmed and the desired color will be transfered to the application.
