MySQL

Character Set and Encoding
eva/3 needs text data in Unicode charset with UTF8 Encoding. By default, these values are set right at MySQL. But when the database server is set to another charset, the text data will be unreadably displayed.
To get the data in the correct format form the MySQL database server, the charsert and the encoding can be given at the Database connection. Therefor, in the field Database, after the name of the database, the value?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=utf8 can be entered (s. Fig. 1).

Views
Because of Microsoft® Access did currently not support VIEWS, no Database viewscan be used in eva/3 applications, that use Microsoft® Access as database
