Setting up an ODBC Connection

For the database systems Microsoft® Access® and Parkway Microfocus, the according ODBC connection has to be set up , before their use in eva/3. This can be done in the windows startmenu by Einstellungen > Systemsteuerung and the following selection of the entries Verwaltung and Datenquelle (ODBC).

A new data source can be added by pressing the button Hinzufügen (s. fig. 64 ) and the following selection of the according ODBC driver (s. fig. 2).

In the following dialog (s. fig. 66 ), a any data source name can be entered. The database file can be selected by pressing the button Auswählen. Finaly the dialog can be closed by the OK button.

Hint: The data source name has to be entered in the field Database, when Creating a new databse connection.
