Starting the Application in eclipse

Before starting an eva/3 Application Builder application the first time the .jar file eva3rt.jar must be included. Some notes can be found in section Creating a project.

The application can be started by clicking the combo box Run... (s. fig. 6 ).

After clicking on the Run... sub-item, the dialog Run appears (s. fig. 7 ).

A new configuration for starting an application can prepared by choosing the entry Eva/3 application followed by clicking the Button New (s. fig. 8 ).

An eva/3 Application Builder application can be started by a form, a report, a macro or a command. One of these Objects can be inserted into the field document by clicking the search button to open the Document selection dialog. The Input becoming completed by clicking the Run button.

The application can be started directly by clicking the combo box Run (s. fig. 6 ).

Additional Input

Additional settings can be made to the dialog Run (s. fig. 9 ) within the tab Arguments.

The value of the field VM arguments assigns a nominated amount of memory to the application. This value should be at least 256 Megabytes (s. fig. 9 ).

One of some installed java runtime environments can be chosen with the dialog Run within the tab JRE (s. fig. 10 ). The chosen runtime environment should be used to run the application.
