The prefernce settings of the formr- and the report editor can be edited in the eclipse main menu by selecting the entry and selecting the Entry (s. fig. 269 ).

The following settings can be done
| Show component names | When this setting is active, the names of components are shown in the design view |
| Mark | The color of the frame of marked components |
| Group mark | The color of the frame of a marked group |
| Grid | The color of the grid lines |
| Border | The color of the border around the components |
| Focus | The color of selected components |
| System Fonts available | Allows the use of system fonts in the form- and report editor. By activating this check box all system fonts are listed in the Font select des Dialog of the form- and report editor and can be assigned to form or report components like SLabel. Is the check box deactivated, only the java fonts can be choosen |
| Allow no components with the same name | If this caption is activated, it is not possible to have two or more components with the same name |
| Grid Width | Defines the width of the grid in the Form- and Report Editor. These settings can also be done with the Preferences Dialog |
| Grid Height | Defines the height of the grid in the Form- and Report Editor. These settings can also be done with the Preferences Dialog |
| Show class name in propertys | Shows the class name of selected component in titel of the property dialog |
| Erstelle Java Code | Activates that java code is generated for each form which is saved by the form designer. A new class file with the same name as the form is generated or an existing one gets updated. |
| Behaviour on closing a property dialog | Appoints, what happened, when the editor is closed and changed properties are not saved. |
| Save the property | Saves the changed properties whitout saving. |
| Cancel the dialog | Discards the changed properties and cancelss the dialog. |
| Ask the developer | Asks the developer, if he wants the changed properties to be saved or not. |
| Retsore default | Resetts the settings to their default values |
