User Settings for the Table Editor

The standard settings of the Table Editor can be done in the eclipse main menu by selecting the menu entry Windows > Preferences and following selection of the entry Table-Editor (s. fig. 271 ).

The following settings can be done:

Autosave record Automatically saves a data record, after it was edited
Update foreignkey references Updates foreign kex references to a table column automatically when this column was changed. Otherways, the user must commit the update
Do not delete columns at database synchronisation Is the caption activated, there will no columns be deleted during the synchronisaton
Show datatype assignment dialog Shows at every synchronisation the datatype assignmant dialog, when the caption is active.
Get column definition from database At SQL-queries the columns of the table editor will be ignored. It will only be read from the database.
Close database connection on exit Closes the database connection when exit the Table-Editor. Special property for file driver connections. But it is to attend, that problems can occur, when more than one editor is opened. After closing one editor there can't be no more changes in the other ones.
Restore Defaults Resets the settings to their default values
