Extensionponts are a mechanism of eclipse by wich a PlugIn can extend the functionality of the platform. These Extensions cannot be created arbitrarily. They have to be declared using a clear specification.

The PlugIns of eva/3 Application Builder provide Extensionpoints, by wich additional functions can be installed.
