Creating a Project with eva/3 Application Wizards

Here will be described how you can get a complete database driven application with the help of eva/3 application wizards and a few settings.

First you have to open the New Project page. To do this, you have to choose the menu entry New > Project..., analougus to (s. fig. 300 ).

A new window opens, where you can choose the kind of the new project (s. fig. 2). At this point, you decide for a eva/3 application wizards.

After confirmingthe decision, the dialog eva/3 Project wizard opens (s. fig. 302 ). Here you must define a name for the new project. The other options should be taken over according to the figure.

After this settings and the entering of a projectname, you go to the next page by clicking the Next button (s. fig. 302 ).

On this page (s. fig. 303 ) you can decide, what kind of application you want to generate. Choose your wanted (Kind of application). Afterwards you can define, which fields you want to add to your application. These optional fields are provided with a hook and can de unchecked. In the General Ledger application (s. fig. 4) only the field Steuerpflichtig aus der Tabelle Überweisungen is optional. Your application will be genearted by clicking Finish.

After creation, your application should be in the package explorer (s. fig. 5).

Next you have to connect your application with a database. This will be done by the following two steps.

Now you can execute the application with start.macro .
